Driving in CO, I hit an awning. The owner filed an accident report, and gave an estimate. Will insurance know?
Saturday, May 9th, 2009I ask, because it affects my next move. If insurance is involved in the issue, my points and rates will be affected. This would negate any benefit in paying the damages myself, and I would be twice dinged. If insurance is not notified, I can simply make this a private matter, and pay the damages to the building owner, as the vehicle was not even scratched. Could anyone elucidate me on the procedures in Colorado? I’m from out of state, and don’t know… Am I required to report it? Will anyone know? Does the DMV keep record, and relay??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Much Thanks,
