Coleman Road Trip Beach Shelter

Ferrets can be kept outdoors, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

- Ferrets can suffer from heatstroke VERY easily. Be careful to make sure their enclosure is well ventilated, and if the temperature is too high they will need to be moved to a cooler place.

- Ferrets are very smart. Make sure the enclosure is entirely secure, ferrets can learn to open cupboard doors, pull plugs and undo latches so be very careful if you don't want to lose your ferrets!

- Ferrets are sometimes too curious for their own good. This means they don't always realize predators as danger. Make sure no other animals will be attracted to the enclosure and that they cannot get in or harm your pets.

- Ferrets need alot of socialization. Ferrets should be kept in pairs at least so they don't get bored. They need to be played with and get bored easily because they are so intelligent.

Ferrets are amazing pets if you take care of them properly.

RV Patio Mat

I tried keeping my ferrets outside under an awning once.
Lost an eye, and got an 8 year sentence.
I'm inside, and the ferrets are out with my wife!

Seriously, they would be alright in the summer, but wouldn't like it in the winter.
Just don't forget about them when they get cold and it'll be fine;)

(Matt W takes no responsibility for dead ferrets.)

Shelter Logic Canopy Kit

Yeah in a ventilated enclosure that is of course escape proof. You could probably set it up so that at certain times of the day they could be in both the shade and in the sun. But you would not want to set it up so that they were in an enclosure that was totally in direct sunlight. So make sure they have an awning or something that gives them shade in some part of the cage at all times.

Solar Motion Sensor

I kept my ferrets outside in a large hutch with plenty of comfy things for them to sleep in and straw never had any problems.

Outdoor Window Shade

labor to take down, and haul away..probably 200 dollars. then your house may also need attention, such as sealing and patching holes, replacing siding, then touch up paint.

coleman Geosport Screen

My favourite question of the day, yes you can keep ferrets outdoors in a hutch or similar adapted shelter/home. Ferrets are from the weasel family so they live outdoors and exist in the wild.
Interesting and intelligent animals, they make great pets too!.
